Our Treatments

FIRSTLY - IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: ABOUT PRICING & REGULATIONS IN AUSTRALIA

About Aesthetic Medicine: At Aesthetic Medicine Australia, we understand how confusing it can be for patients to see so much variation in prices on the market, from so many different providers and with so many different options for treatment. Of course, we all want to get the best value for our money, and it can be daunting to spend our hard-earned cash without any guarantee of a result.

However every patient responds differently to treatment, just as with antibiotics or surgery. This means that no guarantees can be given; in fact, it would be unethical for any practitioner to guarantee results.

Furthermore, despite being elective, medical aesthetics are still a branch of health care, meaning practitioners need to adhere to Australian health care standards. Even if we were to give you a 50% discount, we still need to ensure you have 100% care (and I’m sure you’d prefer it that way too!)

About Australian Regulations: Australian practitioners have multiple different regulators, whose rules we are expected to adhere to., all in the name of 'Patient Safety'. We have AHPRA, the TGA, The HCCC, Consumer Affairs, Local Councils (different rules for different councils)  State Health Departments (different in every state) and of course the actual Law.

Practitioners are banned from discussing prices before a consultation, showing before and after photos and even policed over the language we use in our marketing. And every year it seems, there's a new regulation. And we are never told ahead of time, we only find out when we've apprently breached one of these multitude of confusing regulations. Penalties for even unknowingly breaching one of the regulations can be incredibly severe.

As practitioners, we find this extremely frustrating and we agree fully with our patients when they become annoyed with these restrictions. Of course you do - it's a complete waste of your time to have to come all the way in for a face to face consultation, only to find that the treatment you had wanted is out of your budget. We wonder who we are harming by sharing our work (with permission, of course!) and discussing price ranges. Sometimes it seems as if it's being made deliberately difficult for patients and practitioners alike.

Our Guarantee: The one guarantee we can give to our patients is that we will only ever suggest treatments we think will properly address your concerns and preferences, and we will always be upfront about costs from the very first consultation. We feel that our pricing for treatments is very fair, given the outstanding care we give our valued patients. We place patient care at the centre of everything we do and are available around the clock to assist with any concern and to always ensure your safety and peace of mind.

With all that in mind, our highly trained practitioners don’t haggle or bargain about medical services.

However, if you are on a budget, please let us know – we will always be able to suggest something that fits your budget.

In most cases, a combination of aesthetic treatments will be required for best results. Furthermore, there needs to be an ongoing and responsive treatment plan – very rarely can any one thing fulfil and maintain all your aesthetic needs.

Most importantly, look after yourself! Remember, what we can do with a needle or laser is only half the story – the rest is up to you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about any of the above, we want our patients to be informed and comfortable before proceeding with their treatments.
